2026 FCSM Conference

The Federal Committee on Statistical Methodology (FCSM) will host the 2026 FCSM Conference on January 28-29, 2026, at the Suitland Federal Center in Suitland, MD. This conference will bring together experts from across federal agencies to share and advance the development, application, and evaluation of statistical methods.

Sponsored by the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Bureau of Economic Analysis, the 2026 FCSM Conference will feature presentations that highlight innovations and best practices supporting the production of high-quality, relevant, and timely federal statistics.

Sessions will focus on topics of importance to the Federal Statistical System, including:

  • Data science

  • Establishment surveys

  • Estimation & inference

  • Privacy & disclosure control

  • Questionnaire design

  • Statistical computing

  • Survey sampling & weighting

  • Applied statistics

  • Artificial Intelligence & AI-ready data

  • Bayesian methods

  • Data collection

  • Data dissemination

  • Data linkage

  • Data processing

  • Data quality

Additional Considerations: Please note that due to venue limitations, only current federal employees can present at and attend the FCSM Conference. Due to space and time constraints, not all submissions can be accepted. We appreciate your understanding and thank all contributors for their interest and effort.

Registration: Registration will open this fall. There will be no cost to attend.
